IRA DISTRIBUTIONS & STOCK GIFTS
If you are 70 1/2 or older, you may want to consider the tax benefits of gifting your required IRA distributions to CASA of Brown County.
Tax-free distributions are allowed for individuals age 70 1/2 or older if made directly from their IRAs to qualified charities. The annual limit is $100,000 per taxpayer. CASA of Brown County is a qualified charity. Our federal tax identification number is 20-0476117.
In light of the recent tax legislation, the Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) will be even more beneficial to a donor beginning in 2018. In addition, a QCD to CASA of Brown County would count towards your IRA’s annual required minimum distribution (RMD).
Please check with your tax adviser for more information or contact the CASA office.
We accept stock gifts through the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. There are several ways in which you can make a gift of stock in support of CASA of Brown County.
